K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN made Los Angeles their “home” for the weekend, performing their first-ever stadium shows back to back and wrapping up the U.S. leg of their ‘RIGHT HERE’ world tour.
With 11 of the 13 members on tour, the stage felt massive, showcasing the group’s versatility through an intense mix of high-energy performances and mellow, fun moments as we sat down (and stood up) to watch the show.
Their balanced energy radiated the happiness they felt performing in what they called their second home, Los Angeles. Only a group like SEVENTEEN could pull off such an unforgettable weekend.
Not only did SEVENTEEN deliver a show-stopping two-night performance at BMO Stadium, but they also hosted engaging activations across Los Angeles throughout the week that took over the city, which we’ll dive into after the show review!
The Knockturnal attended Day 1 of the two-day Los Angeles show, greeted by fans buzzing with excitement and dressed in outfits that ranged from adorable to super silly. We saw fans sporting looks inspired by pizza, tigers, and carrots— all playful references that both CARATs (the fans) and SEVENTEEN share.
As the tour’s second-to-last show, SEVENTEEN still brought unstoppable energy, proving why they’re truly standout performers. Despite a late start, the stadium erupted with cheers, lightsticks waving as SEVENTEEN took the stage in a blazing red ambiance on the screen. Their choreography was energetic from the start—and only ramped up as the show went on, their energy intensifying as each stage followed.
The group made an unforgettable entrance, descending each stage level in a powerful display, dressed in black suits and filling the stadium with opening with hype tracks “Fear,” “Fearless,” and fan-favorite “MAESTRO.”
The stadium was transformed into SEVENTEEN’s own little world for three hours that night, with graphic visuals and lighting effects that turned BMO Stadium into an out-of-body experience. Fireworks erupted during the first song, “Fear,” setting the tone for the rest of the show.
“Fearless” showcased the group’s intricate choreography, making the stage feel even more full with their 11 members—down two, as Jun and Jeonghan were unable to join for this tour. Despite this, the group filled up the stage, not just with people, but with energy and synchronization.
As “MAESTRO” came to a close, the members introduced themselves one by one, overall sharing how special their first stadium show felt emphasizing how much they missed their fans since their last visit to Los Angeles.
A standout introduction came from member HOSHI who rallied the crowd with his famous “horanghae” catchphrase, combining the Korean words for “tiger” (horangi) and “love” (saranghae) in a unique show of affection for fans—a nod to his signature animal, a tiger. (Such a cute touch!)
The group energized the crowd with their iconic chant, “SEVENTEEN, right here!” before launching into “Ash,” a song that brought an even more intense, hype-driven vibe compared to the earlier tracks. Moving onto the extended stage, they brought the back sections of the audience closer into the vibrant, hyper-vocaloid experience.
Soon after, the unit stages began, kicking off with the HIP-HOP UNIT—members S.COUPS, WONWOO, MINGYU, and VERNON—performing “Water” and “Monster.” Their edgy outfits added to the vibe, and “Monster” saw their first use of props, with members donning and then removing their ‘monster’ mask personas.
Next up was the PERFORMANCE UNIT, with HOSHI, JUN, THE 8, and DINO. Their set was unreal, starting with “Rain,” where their vocals truly popped out. Following was “Lilili Yabbay,” a song that introduced intense floor choreography, where you could literally see the sweat dripping from the members even from hundreds of feet away! Powerful.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the VOCAL UNIT—including members WOOZI, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, DK, and SEUNGKWAN—took the stage to perform “CANDY.” Surrounded by graphics of planets and dressed like real life princes, the largest unit brought an entirely new energy to the show.
Accompanied by a soft piano melody, the song pulled at our heartstrings, shifting the concert to a gentler, more emotional atmosphere. I found myself wondering, “Am I actually going to cry?” (I did.)
The sentiment continued with “Cheers to Youth,” a bright and heartfelt song that felt like a pure celebration. Confetti filled the stadium, adding to the magic as Los Angeles native Joshua looked especially moved—like an “I made it” moment—just moments after being honored by the L.A. City Council for his achievements with SEVENTEEN where CARATS gathered to celebrate!
The stage was then set with bean bags and a ping pong table, creating a comfortable, “homey” atmosphere. It was such a warm change of pace, and the whole setup felt like a scene from a play, complete with theatrical touches—only SEVENTEEN would commit to the bit this well!
Staying true to their playful side, the group included a fun Jumanji-inspired stage, with dancers appearing in inflatable costumes from gorillas to dinosaurs, sparking laughter and surprise across the stadium.
The shocking moments kept coming as they made their way back to the extended stage, where they launched into a performance of “God of Music.” The crowd roared with chants, lightsticks flashing in rhythm. WOOZI hit an incredible high note, and the crowd erupted, jumping along with the beat. The Jumanji-costumed dancers returned to join in, adding a final playful twist to an epic night.
The group then entered a heartfelt MENT’s before their closing stages, with Los Angeles native Joshua saying, “It’s amazing, guys” and adding, “It honestly feels more like home”—expressing how performing in his hometown with CARATs all around made the experience extra special.
The rest of SEVENTEEN agreed, sharing that Los Angeles truly feels like their second home.
Their sentiment was perfectly underscored by their next song, “Home.” This beautiful ballad invited the audience to join in the choreography, bringing back that cozy, chill vibe. Fans were thrilled as a VCR appeared, including Jun and Jeonghan, who were unable to join the tour, prompting cheers of support from CARATs who can’t wait to see them next time!
If SEVENTEEN knows how to do one thing exceptionally well, it’s delivering seamless transitions.
From the relaxed energy of “Home,” they shifted gears to a high-energy song featuring DJ Khaled, “LOVE, MONEY, FAME.” Fans around chanted “WE THE BEST MUSIC!” as the group emerged in fresh outfits of black, grey, and white streetwear, elevating the stadium’s energy to new heights.
The loudest cheers of the night came as SEVENTEEN launched into their track “SUPER,” which had the entire crowd hyped for the final stretch. Fans eagerly joined in for dance challenges as the group watched in detail,, and fireworks lit up the sky, making the atmosphere unforgettable as they neared the end of this spectacular night.
In a surprising twist, they made their way around the stadium in four separate carts, allowing them to interact more closely with fans seated in the 100s and 200s sections. The set included beloved tracks like “Adore U,” “’bout you,” and “Campfire,” creating intimate moments that made the night even more memorable.
In true SEVENTEEN fashion, the group closed out the night with their final songs. During the iconic “VERY NICE” stage, the members playfully engaged the audience, inviting everyone to join in their signature chant of “AJU NICE” with fans on the floor.
I lost count of how many times they performed it, as they kept bringing the song back, making us think the show was ending—only to surprise the crowd by continuing. Each time, I felt a surge of happiness, and when it finally ended for real, I couldn’t help but feel a bit sad that the incredible night was over.
SEVENTEEN truly made their mark in Los Angeles this visit, delivering an inspiring and innovative performance alongside a series of fan-centered activities that took over the city for the weekend.
Beyond the concert, they hosted merch pop-ups, put up special billboards, organized fan events, and were honored by the city council and fans even gathered at the iconic Santa Monica Pier, where the Ferris Wheel was lit in SEVENTEEN’s colors.
If there’s one group you should keep your eye on the next time they visit your area, it’s definitely SEVENTEEN.
SEVENTEEN stays true to who they are, honoring their roots and past achievements, while constantly pushing the boundaries with innovative stages and unforgettable performances. With every show, they bring something new, keeping fans excited and fully engaged.
