The most anticipated physical album that is coming from a Broadway musical.

Last Friday, October 25th, the cast of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” celebrated their physical album release by throwing a party at the gorgeous McKittrick Hotel which was sponsored by Vulture.  At this party, guests sampled some delicious cocktails and bite sized foods along with listening to the cast album of the new Moulin Rouge musical.  This album was produced by Baz Luhrmann, Justin Levine, Matt Stine, and Alex Timbers and debuted #1 on Billboard’s Cast Albums Chart.  And it is not surprise that this debuted as #1 on the charts.  This album seamlessly integrates the classic hits from the original movie and plays with it in a way that only a Broadway musical can do. And like the classic film, “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” celebrates some of the greatest hits in music over the last 50 years.  This musical features many of the cult classic songs that made the original movie great but takes a fun twist on these songs, seamlessly evoking a fun and lighthearted feel to the songs.

This party in celebration of this cast album was very chic and fun.  It was at the very top of the McKittrick Hotel, in a secluded section that allowed for all the stops to be pulled.  There was a smoke machine, dim lights, tasty drinks, and delicious food all in one.  And some guests even dressed up in costume in celebration of Halloween.  And at this party, the stars of the musical showed up which electrified the night and excited all of the guests.  Some of the attendees from the cast included Robyn Hurder, Morgan Marcell, Max Clayton, and Amber Ardolino.  All in all, this night was a great way to celebrate the cast’s physical album and have fans of the musical geek out and enjoy a fun night out.  The night was full of talking, laughs, and dancing which is definitely how you would want to have a Friday night be in New York City.
