Lincoln has introduced the 2025 Aviator with new colors, a refreshed design, and a ground-up rework of its technology stack.
Building on the success of its predecessor which we reviewed in 2021, the 2025 Aviator boasts a several important changes that bring it a little more on-trend and tech-forward. Design-wise, the SUV features an updated grille and wide headlamps that exude confidence and sophistication on the road.
Cutting slightly into the center facade, this design change expands upon some of the design details introduced with reworked Nautilus which Lincoln revealed late last year. With two new exterior color options– an extremely subtle Cenote Green and a delightful Whisper Blue Metallic, drivers have more choices than ever to express their personal style.
Reworked technology
The Aviator has always offered a sanctuary of comfort and convenience but for the first time, Lincoln has brought its technology development in-house, resulting in an all-new Lincoln Digital Experience which seamlessly integrates with clients’ digital lives, providing easy access to favorite apps and services through a user-friendly interface. Whether streaming music, navigating with Google Maps, or staying connected with Alexa Built-In, drivers can enjoy a personalized driving experience like never before thanks to being built from the ground-up on Google’s Android operating system. The result is a snappier and more connected experience. The user experience is also significantly more refined and the relationship between the instrument cluster and touchscreen is closer than ever allowing for more thoughtful communications and richer visualizations.
BlueCruise hands-free highway driving now standard
One of the standout features of the 2025 Aviator is the introduction of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology. Standard on all models, BlueCruise takes the stress out of long journeys by assisting with braking, accelerating, and steering, allowing drivers to relax and enjoy the ride.
In terms of performance, the Aviator delivers power and efficiency with its standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With 400 horsepower and 415 ft.-lbs. of torque, the Aviator offers responsive acceleration and a smooth, comfortable ride.
New Lincoln Black Label themes
Interior luxury is taken to new heights with the Lincoln Black Label Invitation theme, featuring handcrafted Black Onyx leather seating surfaces and open-pore Khaya wood accents. The Revel Ultima 3D Audio System provides an immersive listening experience, while available 30-Way Perfect Position Front Seats ensure maximum comfort on every journey. Buyers can also now mix-and-match their aesthetic choices, now including the ability to apply the very popular black-gloss finishes to the base model. The interior is also visually simplified with climate controls permanently accessible from the touchscreen and start/stop button repositioned to be near the gear selector bar.
