Hulu used its second annual Get Real event to make one thing clear, the streaming platform is betting bigger than ever on unscripted programming.
The reality haven expanded this year with the first ever ‘Get Real House Live’ livestream hosted by Scott Evans. The livestream gave viewers access to announcements and surprise moments in real time, with the full event available to stream afterward on Hulu. The event, packed with immersive activations turned the gathering into part industry showcase, part reality TV playground.
The celebration drew a notable mix of talent across Hulu’s unscripted universe, with appearances from Jimmy Kimmel, Alfonso Ribeiro, Heidi Klum, Maura Higgins, Danielle Fishel, Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, and many more adding to the convention style energy of a gathering designed as much to celebrate fandom as to break news.
Even before the presentations began, attendees were met with interactive activations inspired by Hulu’s reality slate. Celebrity Glambot operator Cole Walliser was on hand capturing his signature slow motion red carpet videos, bringing a dose of awards show glamour to the event.

Inside the gorgeous Casa Lago estate, themed installations leaned into the personality of Hulu’s unscripted brands. Love Thy Nader hosted a booth serving gumbo, while The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives invited guests to customize phone cases. Jimmy Kimmel Live hosted an activation featuring Guillermo’s new refrigerated salsa, which paired perfectly with Casamigos Tequila which drew steady crowds throughout the afternoon. To close out the event, Wendy’s brought the heat and delivered their upgraded Spicy Chicken Sandwiches with fries. Additional booths and experiences transformed the event into a fully immersive extension of the shows themselves.
The experiential component underscored Hulu’s broader message, reality television is no longer just something viewers watch — it is something audiences want to engage with.
Among the biggest announcements of the day, drummer and producer Travis Barker took the stage to unveil his upcoming documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, adding a high profile celebrity doc to Hulu’s growing unscripted lineup.

But perhaps one of the buzziest moments came when Khloé Kardashian introduced The Girls, a new reality series centered on her inner circle of longtime friends navigating motherhood, business and friendship.
“They’re building empires. They’re building families. They’re always unfiltered,” Kardashian said while introducing the project. Described as a look at “the new era of reality TV where the chaos is couture,” the series follows Natalie Halcro, Khadijah Haqq, Malika Haqq, Yris Palmer, Olivia Pierson and Nicole Williams English, all of whom joined Kardashian onstage following the reveal.
Another crowd-pleasing moment came when restaurateur and reality matriarch Lisa Vanderpump teased the Season 3 reunion for Vanderpump Villa, set six months after a drama filled British summer at Rosecroft Park. Vanderpump reunites with Stassi Schroeder and the Villa staff to revisit broken friendships, fractured romances and unresolved fallout.

Still, the event’s most anticipated reveal may have been the expansion of one of Hulu’s breakout reality franchises.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, a spinoff of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives that moves the #MomTok-style drama to Southern California with a new cast that includes Aspyn Ovard, Bobbi Althoff, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, McCall DaPron, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease and Madison Bontempo.
The reveal generated some of the loudest reaction of the afternoon, signaling Hulu may be positioning the Mormon Wives franchise as one of its next major unscripted universes.
