Stacey Bendet, CEO and founder of Alice + Olivia, and Coca-Cola both understand one thing: the power of nostalgia. The two brands, working in close collaboration for over a year now, celebrate the 140th anniversary of the classic American beverage with an exclusive 21-piece capsule collection.
A large Coca-Cola bottle covering glossy red paint glistens over the brick wall of Front Street, indicating the brand’s three-day takeover of The Little Shop. The shop, regularly operating as a dual-concept space with a hidden speakeasy and front-facing bodega, is transformed into an all-American time capsule of fashion, music, and of course, Coca-Cola.
Bendet, who poses in celebration in front of the charming mural, glows in her full-length ‘Tina’ embellished ballgown skirt, one of the 14 ready-to-wear pieces within the colorful collection. The beauty is in the details; playful daisies pop up all over the patterned skirt next to a large, colorful Coke bottle blending vibrant red and purple hues. The back reads, “Have a Coke, The Real Thing!”

The pop-up itself, while clearly themed, debuts a refreshingly celebratory take on American culture and heritage. It’s a feast for the eyes: vintage Coke bottles and memorabilia, red roses, graphic posters, and brand products fill the walls of both rooms. Guests partake in monogrammed tote bag embroidery and glass bottle etching as espresso martinis, old-school-style milkshakes, and Coke bottles are sipped in celebration. The Bumbys, an anonymous performance art duo, sit clicking at typewriters, constructing personalized sonnets on branded note slips for the guests who approach them.

The pop-centric ambience, mixed by DJ Mia Moretti, mimicked the spirited yet intimate crowd. Bendent was joined by fashion icons and personalities Zach Posen, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and iconic fashion campaign photographer Ellen von Unwerth, among others. The shop, which will run exclusively at the South Street Seaport location, is only available through Sunday, November 8.

From varsity jackets to graphic tees, silk blouses, and sparkling boxy clutches, there’s a unique pick for everyone’s personal style; it’s the type of collection that makes it difficult to decide on just one piece. Bendet’s whimsical fashion lens naturally complements the instantly recognizable branding of Coca-Cola. Simply put, it’s the perfect match.
The collaboration goes beyond the brand name; Alice + Olivia x Coca-Cola captures the spirit, and everything we love, about Americana, childhood, and fearless self-expression.
