IPSY Live took over New York City on Saturday and Sunday, October 12th and 13th, with a stunning, new era immersive beauty experience. Center415 in Manhattan hosted the one-of-a-kind beauty adventure from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The event featured intimate panels, workshops, demos, fireside chats, and guest appearances by heavy hitters like Ciara, Gigi Gorgeous, Patrick Starr, Camila Coelho, Laura Sanchez, Chaz Dean, and more.
When the future beauty innovators, makeup lovers, and skincare enthusiasts arrived at IPSY Live, they were delighted to find a build-your-own Glam Bag station in the lobby. Attendees chose from dozens of deluxe sample size products to fill limited edition “Discover Yourself” IPSY bags.
During the event, IPSY also showcased a cosmetic line of their own — a limited-time, exclusive collaboration with Betty Boop. The BETTY BOOP x IPSY activation had a vintage allure to it. Guests could receive product samples, take a black-and-white photo, and try delicious fresh cotton candy intricately sculpted into lips.
On-site custom embroidery booths, sales counters, and over 40 brand sponsors, photo activations, and services from desired favorites like WEN Hair & Body Care by Chaz Dean, Purlisse, OFRA, 111SKIN, Pixi Beauty, ColourPop, BETTY BOOP x IPSY, Derma E, Youth To The People, Ciaté London, theBalm, Grown Alchemist, and NatureLab Tokyo were available to guests. Also available were first looks from emerging companies like Vike Beauty, Bloomeffects, Cannabliss Organic, High Beauty, Uruoi, and Soo’AE New York.
This event was IPSY’s first ever large-scale production highlighting their new “Discover Yourself” campaign. Discover Yourself features a diverse group of boundary-pushing brand ambassadors, including headliner Ciara, Gabi Fresh, Zack Dishinger, and others. The goal of this new campaign is to stand united and challenge the world’s standard perception of beauty while promoting self-love and acceptance.
The weekend’s finale took place when Gigi Gorgeous, author, activist, and one of the most well-know celebrity beauty influencers, announced her collaboration with IPSY. The company partnered with Gorgeous to launch a limited edition line of colorful cosmetics including blushes, lip glosses, and bronzers that embody the vibrant larger-than-life YouTube personality. Those lucky enough to be attending IPSY Live were given an exclusive sneak peek of the new beauty line and gifted a signature lip gloss from the collection.
