IPSY, the world’s largest beauty subscription service, hits New York City for their fourth annual event, IPSY Live NYC, as they continue to innovate the way consumers experience beauty. For the first time ever, IPSY opened their exclusive Creator Day and IPSY Live Preview Night to all IPSY subscribers.
The private event was held at Center 415 in Manhattan on Friday, October 11th. A limited number of IPSY subscribers, alongside prospective creators and press, were given the exclusive opportunity for an intimate preview of IPSY Live before its weekend opening to the general public. The day was filled with delicious bites, cocktails, and incredible gift bags, as well as special sneak peeks of new products from existing companies and numerous up-and-coming brands. Excited guests explored the impressive two floors of brand activations, happily collecting product samples and Instagrammable photos.
Fun for creators and beauty-obsessed alike was intertwined with condensed educational panels from successful brand founders, including WEN Hair & Body Care’s Chaz Dean, Formula Z Cosmetics boy genius CEO Zack Dishinger, and more. Dean brought along his trio of blinged-out puppies to give ecstatic fans an adorable photo op.
From the tiny bite-size pizzas in their own individual miniature pizza boxes to the fun PIXI seesaw photo op, the entire event spoke to creativity, detail, and individuality. The theme of Creator Day, IPSY Live, and the new IPSY campaign is “Discover Yourself.” With this campaign and a hugely diverse group of brand ambassadors, IPSY looks to promote self-expression, body positivity, and acceptance.
The day’s standouts for up-and-coming beauty innovators includes Vike Beauty, created by the Vike Twins, Alina and Inessa. This set of gorgeous Russian twin bloggers built their company on their highly innovative makeup removing spray, Makeup Melt. The other standout was Bloomeffects with their unique Royal Tulip Nectar. This female-run clean company produces its wildly effective formula through flowers grown on a Dutch tulip farm.
