On Saturday, June 17 the renowned Freehand Miami in the heart of South Beach partnered with PFLAG National, a remarkable organization comprising LGBTQIA+ individuals, parents, families, and allies, all united in their pursuit of a more inclusive and equitable world. Embracing the spirit of Pride Month, PFLAG National orchestrated a celebration alongside the Freehand Miami, Chambord, and the dazzling queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race—Derrick Barry and Nebraska.
The cocktail class was filled with laughter and smiles. The drink of the evening was the Strawberry Margarita. As the audience followed along, these ingredients took center stage—Tequila, Chambord black raspberry liqueur, strawberry purée, lime juice, spices, and dehydrated limes. Under the expert guidance of the mixologist, the attendees crafted their own variations of this delightful concoction.
While the audience poured, mixed, and garnished, Derrick Barry and Nebraska told personal anecdotes, filling the room with laughter. The queens encouraged everyone to let loose and celebrate by singing and dancing.
