On September first, Cadillac held its Capsule Clothing Launch Party at Classic Car Club on Hudson Street.
Following Cadillac’s inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s this summer, the luxury car brand has followed up with a capsule collection curated by style icon Nick Wooster. Nick’s experience in menswear spans 30 years with stints at Calvin Klein, Barneys New York, Ralph Lauren, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, where he held the position of Men’s Fashion Director until 2011. He also has a vast social media presence and consults for a number of luxury brands worldwide, being known to be daring and different, making style moves that have come to define what is means to be a well-dressed.
Alongside, eight other designers (J. Lindeberg, PLAC, David Hart, Timo Weiland, Ernest Alexander, Mark McNairy, Cadet, Carlos Campos, Gents) have also teamed up to craft this fall’s must have pieces to be sold exclusively on Gilt.com beginning Wednesday, September 9th. The 15 curated pieces in the collection will range from $59 to $2,000.
Guests of this exclusive VIP party included some of fashion’s most notable influencers such as Alan Cumming, Christian Siriano, Steven Kolb among others. The event also included a full service bar serving beers and cocktails, a live DJ playing today’s biggest hits, and sweet & savory hors d’oeuvres. Invitees had the chance to browse the capsule collection on display and interactively on freestanding iPads. Ambience in the car club was reminiscent of a hip club in the city with dim lights, a stylish crowd, and upbeat musicmaking this party the place to be.
