If this newest trailer means anything, Macbeth looks to be an acting tour-de-force and one of the most visually stunning films of 2015.
The newest trailer for Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth has been released and it looks like it could be one of the best films of the year. While I was tentatively excited, the first trailer didn’t do much for me. Visually, it looked amazing but something about it just felt off. This newest trailer takes care of all of my concerns and I couldn’t be happier about that. Having Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard playing Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are just perfect choices and it appears that Kurzel hits every single beat.
Macbeth is directed by Justin Kurzel, written by Todd Louiso, Jacob Koskoff, and Michael Lesslie, and stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Paddy Considine, Sean Harris, Jack Reynor, Elizabeth Debicki (The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Everest), and David Thewlis. Jacqueline Durran did the costumes. Alice Felton did the set decoration. Adam Arkapaw did the cinematography and Jed Kurzel did the music. Macbeth will be in theaters by The Weinstein Company December 4, 2015.
This fall you can also catch Michael Fassbender in Steve Jobs on October 9, 2015. That film was directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin. Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels and Seth Rogen also star in it.
