Anyone who knows me will tell you I am absolutely obsessed with skincare! Your skin is the TRUE base of any makeup look, so it makes sense that any bomb makeup brand would launch an equally fabulous skincare line. I had the opportunity to try a few of Absolute New York’s newest products. Here are my thoughts…
ALL-IN-1 CLEANSING OIL WITH TANGERINE EXTRACT – $9.99
The first product I tried was the All-in-1 Cleansing Oil with Tangerine Extract. This bright colored lightweight cleansing oil breaks down makeup, dirt, and other impurities while brightening, hydrating, purifying and balancing sebum production without stripping or drying out your skin. Formulated with vitamin A and tangerine extract this powerful cleanser blast away acne-causing bacteria and evens out skin tone. I used this product in the evenings to give my skin a true deep clean and ensure all makeup and impurities have been washed away. A little bit goes a long way and the cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and smooth with no leftover greasy residue. I adore the delicate tangerine scent, it’s refreshing after a long day without being overpowering or irritating to my sensitive skin. And here is a tidbit I discovered, tangerines are known to stimulate the production of new cells! I really enjoy this product and at the $9.99 price point or 6.76 fl.oz it is a great value that I know I will be able to purchase again and again.
ALL-IN-1 CLEANSING WATER – $8.99
After the All-in-1 Cleansing Oil, I go in with this little gem, The All-In-1 Cleansing Water. This product is a wonderful multi-purpose face cleansing water that soothes skin and tightens pores that act as a weightless hydrating toner. I love how sensitive this product is, it is ever so lightly scented and the formula is gentle with no alcohol or other harsh ingredients. Infused with Rosa Centifolia Extract the no-rinse product smoothes on for more purified irritation-free skin and there is no need to rinse! I have started keeping this convenient skincare essential on my nightstand for those nights I stumble in late and don’t have the energy to complete my full nighttime skincare routine. It’s been a lifesaver! At 8.99 for a 10.5 fl.oz bottle you definitely get your money’s worth.
3-IN-1 COMPLEXION + EYE BRUSH | MULTI-PURPOSE BRUSH – $9.99
The final item I tried isn’t skincare per se but it is an ingenious tool of connivance that I NEEDED in my life! I prefer a simplistic approach to beauty. I like to look good but I don’t want anything too complicated and I am usually getting ready on the go, it’s the New York way. This 3-In-1 Multi-Purpose Brush was designed for people like me. The product is a combination of three essential makeup tools that fit neatly and compactly together. The top is a super soft fluffy powder brush that screws into a makeup sponge that screws into an angled eyeshadow brush! I STAND for this! This baby is hopping on a plane for a last-minute trip with me this weekend. It’s only $9.99, I’ve paid double that for a brush that does only one thing. If you don’t have one of these then trust me you need one for your gym bag, your dance bag, that giant purse you through all your stuff into prep for that audition you are running to on your lunch break, you get the point.
In my opinion, Absolute New York is crushing it with these new releases! I enjoyed every item I tried, everything was affordable and useful in every day life.
