Jean Shafiroff and Brenda Vaccaro were among the guests to attend the Taste of Hope Comes to Broadway event in NYC.

318 West 47th Street, a new condominium by Halstead Property Development Marketing was the site for a beautiful and elegant salute to Broadway and opportunity to raise much needed funds for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge NYC, which serves as a “home base” for cancer patients being treated in Manhattan, at no cost to them. Guests sipped on summer wines and enjoyed delicious food provided by Chef Michael Ferraro from Delicatessen and Chef Julian Medina from Toloache.

It’s a subtle building, intimate with only five units across its seven stories. It’s a testament to understatement: bluestone brick, large but cautiously scaled windows, a garage with cutout. However, inside, anchoring the first three floors of 318 West 47th Street is a maisonette in its truest form, a three bedroom expanse designed for comfort and family living. The  Taste of Hope Comes to Broadway event proved this space as suitable for entertaining, with the kitchen in full use, with its counter opening into the living room as well as galley style space with full size appliances. This floor also features a study that opens onto a private, wooded yard, a genuine rarity in NYC. This yard features both paved and grass spaces and is walled for privacy. It is hard to imagine a more comfortable respite in the heart of the city.

Upstairs features three responsibly-sized bedrooms: each with closets. There is another study/office on this floor as well, in addition to a full-beam master bedroom that leads to a large terrace. It overlooks the yard and is large enough to accommodate additional guests, as those attending  Taste of Hope Comes to Broadway event such as Jean Shafiroff (a past honoree of the American Cancer Society’s Taste of Hope), award-winning actress Brenda Vaccaro, broadway star Derek Klena, and many more demonstrated by enjoying champagne on lounge chairs.

The basement proved to be a fun and functional space with massive storage rooms, as well as wiring for a home-entertainment room. We enjoyed a few rounds of table-tennis here before heading back upstairs. The maisonette also features a garage with electric-vehicle charging port.

The maisonette is available through Halstead Properties. It is priced at $5,995,000 as of this writing.
