The Knockturnal was invited to the Samsung Galaxy Studio in SoHo for an exclusive tour of the current Samsung product lineup.

We were given a tour around the studio and shown all of the current products, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, and the all-new Galaxy Active, which adapts to active lifestyles where your phone is more likely to fall. The Galaxy Active is a nearly indestructible version of the Galaxy S. It is waterproof and rigid, allowing you to take it with you no matter where you go. Next in line was the Samsung Galaxy VR, which is Samsung’s own virtual reality goggles, allowing you to incorporate your phone and headphones into a pair of goggles that give you a 96 degree view around and almost take you all the way into another dimension of reality. The Gear VR retail for $199.99, which isn’t nearly as much as you would expect it to be.

Next up was the Galaxy Tab S, which come in two sizes, an 8.4 inch and a 10.5 inch, each accommodating to whatever your needs may be. The tabs come in three different colors, dazzling white, charcoal grey, and titanium bronze, each one maintaining an elegant and classy look and feel. The next line was Samsung’s newest line of camera products, which featured their Galaxy Camera 2, a camera with all the apps, games, and features of a Galaxy smart phone, except without the phone or texting themselves. Then there was the NX500, which is capable of capturing ultra-high definition photos and 4K videos. Also featured was Samsung’s high quality camera, the NX1, capable of taking some the most crystal clear, detailed photos that can be taken with any camera on the market today.

Following the cameras was the gear section of Samsung, featuring Samsung’s Level Headphones, mini portable speaker, wireless charging pod and current watches, the Samsung Gear Fit and the Samsung Gear S. The final stop in Samsung’s current product line was their entertainment station which showcased their all-new 4K SUHD JS9500 Series Curved Smart TV, simply described as the “Best Samsung TV Ever.” This TV puts into use Nano-technology in order to illuminate every single pixel with an LED and create a stunning image that cannot be reproduced anywhere else. This technology along with their new curved characteristic puts the TV right into your comfort zone, making it the only thing you want when you come home from a long day at work. Also highlighted were Samsung’s Multiroom Curved Soundbar as well as their Radiant360 R7 speaker, which can be put anywhere in a room, even the ceiling, and still perform amazingly.

The second part of the tour is where things got interesting. The list of new products included a newly redesigned Galaxy watch with a circular design and a band around the face to scroll. The watch will be made to have an interchangeable face and band as to let the buyer personalize his or her watch. Next up was the new Galaxy S6 Plus, which, like the iPhone 6 Plus, features a much larger crystal clear display. The phone will function the same at the S6 and have the same color options, but will have the side screen features of the edge as well as a larger screen such as the iPhone 6 Plus. This model aims to leave the competition in the dust.

An all new Galaxy Note 5 was also showcased with its new SD card slot and amazing features in its freshly renovated operating system. The Note will be faster than ever, smoother than ever and be the perfect hybrid for someone who wants the benefits of a tablet within their smartphone. The Note seemed to steal the showcase, at least in our eyes.

Last up was the redesigned Galaxy Tablets which are set to come in white and black in two different sizes such as the current galaxy tabs. The titanium bronze seemed to be missing however, leaving us to wonder why Samsung would be bringing back their most popular color, replacing it, or eliminating it altogether. The new tablet would also feature SD card benefits as well as a new sleek design and a slightly improved operating system. Both cameras were improved compared to the last generation tablet. Every single one of the products seemed to contain engineering that only Samsung could pull off, and it seems as though Samsung is about to give Apple a run for their money.
