If you thought Serena Williams was only good at tennis, think again.
At Delta Air Line’s US Open pre-event, the second annual Delta OPEN Mic, several celebs gathered together to show off their karaoke skills. Orange is the New Black’s Laverne Cox hosted the event. Some of the singers included her co-star Uzo Aduba, Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharoah and his sister Shaina Farrow, Grammy Award Winning Estelle, The Good Wife’s Alan Cumming, and more. Pharaoh and Shaina sang along to Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s ‘Empire State of Mind’. Cumming performed ‘Part of Your World’ from the Disney Classic The Little Mermaid.
[slideshow]Everyone was blown out of the water when Serena Williams took the stage. Before her performance, she joked that Cumming had stolen her song, and that she’d have to come up with a new song out of the blue. However, pressure is nothing new to her. She sang ‘Under the Sea’ to perfection as if she had planned it all along. All the while, she was dancing, spinning, swaying her hips, and just enjoying herself out there. She’s looking comfortable and ready for the tournament and proved she can do pretty much anything.
