Cozy yet chic decor furnishes the upscale cafe, while friendly, attentive staff deliver excellent service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The Cloud One Deli calls the ground floor of The Cloud One Hotel home, sitting right in the heart of FiDi.
The meal kicks off with a variety of drinks. Champagne Cocktails made with sparkling wine, bitters, and a sugar cube resting at the bottom of the glass, grace the table. As the cube dissolves, bubbles slowly rise to the surface, adding an almost interactive quality to the experience. In addition, freshly squeezed house juices accompanied the meal. The orange is light and refreshing, while the tomato is smooth with just a hint of acidity. A testament to how fresh the ingredients truly were.

Next up, the starters. The Smoked Deviled Eggs are a perfect way to open dinner. They’re silky smooth and creamy, with a gentle whisper of mustard, and a dusting of paprika that lent just the right amount of kick. The following dish is the Mediterranean Trio. A beautifully composed platter of house made hummus, black bean spread, and homemade baba ghanoush. Each section is flavorful and savory in its own right. Simultaneously served alongside fresh, fluffy pita bread, the combination was harmonious and deeply satisfying.

Following, the main dishes were equally impressive. The Couscous Salad arrives generously portioned — easily enough for two to share. Cucumbers, feta cheese, and onions nestle alongside perfectly cooked couscous, while a touch of lemon juice ties the whole dish together, keeping it light and refreshing. For those craving something a little heartier, the burger more than delivers. Two juicy beef patties are stacked high, complemented by a house aioli that adds depth and richness, all nestled in a lightly toasted bun.

Lastly, dessert brought the evening to a memorable close. The Chocolate Olive Oil Cake is dense without being heavy. An ideal choice for those who prefer their sweets on the subtler side. It paired beautifully with a macchiato, adorned with an elegant latte art heart. While new to the menu is the German Bienenstich. It’s affectionately dubbed “beast cake” by the staff. This offers a more layered experience without veering into over-indulgence. Candied almonds crown the top of the pastry, while a delicate vanilla cream filling nestles between two pound cake-like layers. Overall two very different desserts, both exceptional finales to a wonderful meal.
