New York City offers a wealth of treasures at the end of the St. Patrick’s Day rainbow. This year the holiday may fall on a Monday, but that doesn’t mean the city will celebrate any less. From restaurant specials and lucky libations to parades and musical mayhem, it’s sure to be golden.

The Irish spirit is alive both in the days leading up to March 17th and on the lucky day itself.

New York City is in for a ‘lucky’ treat as two iconic restaurants team up for a limited-time festive collaboration.  From March 10th to 17th, Carnegie Deli and Serendipity3 are serving up a special menu that combines classic NYC flavors with whimsical holiday magic. Serendipity3’s Shamrock Frrrozen Hot Chocolate gets “greenified” with peppermint, whipped cream, gold sprinkles, and a gold-dipped Carnegie Deli Black & White cookie “coin. The Carnegie Deli Corned Beef and Pastrami Sliders are a trio bite-sized sliders featuring legendary corned beef and pastrami, including a Reuben with Swiss, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. Served with Bacon Fried Cabbage Slaw and pickles.

On March 15th, Clinton Hall is throwing an exciting St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl at both its 36th Street location in FiDi and its 51st Street spot.  Running from 12 PM to 6 PM, the celebration will is only $50 and will feature beer pong, cornhole, and an open bar with a buffet from 2 PM to 4 PM. Get ready for a day packed with festive music, delicious drinks, and plenty of games to keep the lucky streak going.

A perfect option for those attending the parade, Carnegie Diner & Cafe is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with $4.95 beers all day at both their lively Manhattan locations—one near Central Park at 205 W 57th St, just steps from Carnegie Hall and the other in the heart of the Times Square District at 828 8th Ave.  Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the diner combines nostalgic design with a modern, diverse menu, making it the perfect spot to raise a glass and toast the luck of the Irish.

If there’s a rainbow to be found, it’s sure to be at the Haven Rooftop perched above the Sanctuary Hotel in Midtown (131 W. 47th Street.)  Diners can join in the St. Patrick’s Day festivities with all-day Guinness and fish and chips specials. The venue features a stylish atmosphere paired with an exceptional menu of delectable dishes, all perfectly complemented by signature drinks like the Cloudtini and Solstice.

Time Out Market New York has Brooklyn covered when it comes to St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans. which will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day atop their iconic rooftop on March 17th. The day-long event will be set against the stunning cityscape from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Guests can enjoy drink specials featuring selections of Sam Adams and Angry Orchard, including the popular Sam Adams Cold Snaps. At 6:30 PM, The Brooklyn Irish Dance Company will take the stage. They’re a collaborative community of dancers who push traditional boundaries, creating innovative and accessible performances of Irish dance and music.

Haswell Greens can help you transport yourself to Ireland with its vast beer-hall energy and creative cocktail menu. Year-round Haswell Greens offers contemporary cuisine and warm Irish hospitality in the heart of Times Square. This vibrant restaurant and bar blends history with modern nightlife, capturing the energy and creativity of Broadway. Seven nights a week they offer live music. To celebrate the holiday they are going all out on tradition with three days (March 15, 16 and 17) of incredible performances inside the spacious, multi-level venue.

Nothing says tradition like a group of Broadway singers jamming folk music at an Irish bar.  The brainchild of Matt DeAngelis (ONCE, HAIR, Waitress), “Saloon Sessions” offers a night of chill vibes, Broadway stars, and folk tunes. Every month at Hurley’s Restaurant & Bar  Broadway voices are blended with the soothing sounds of folk music.

Net proceeds benefit the Janice Jam: Broadway for Breast Cancer and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This month’s special guests include the boys from Swept Away, Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck (On the Town, Finding Neverland, Flying Over Sunset), Emma Pittman (Back to the Future, The Outsiders), and Stephanie Torns (Wicked, Waitress).

Gotham Burger Social Club’s is slinging a limited-edition The Murphy’s Outlaw sandwich available only on March 17. Hungry patrons can find the gorgeous sammy at both Gotham Burger and Threes Brewing (Greenpoint). This twist on tradition features house-smoked corned beef by Union Pig BBQ, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, and toasted rye, and is perfectly paired with a beer.

The 264th New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Steeped in tradition, expect a whole lot of Irish pride marching through the city.  This year’s Grand Marshal, Michael Benn, was born in Limerick City, Ireland, in 1948. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1962, graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and Mercy College with a degree in accounting, and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972.
