The Vouch Revolution: Rebel Agency and Culture Basel Take Miami by Storm

Welcome to Culture Basel: A Groundbreaking Weekend in Miami

This fourth quarter has solidified itself as unforgettable, thanks to the unparalleled experiences during Culture Basel in Miami and the groundbreaking innovation of the Vouch app. For me, this marked a return to Miami—a city I hadn’t visited since the MTV Music Awards years ago—and my first immersion into the vibrancy of the Miami art scene during Art Basel Weekend.

Serving dual roles as both an ambassador artist and creative partner for Vouch, I witnessed firsthand how vision and connection can transform an event into a movement.

Culture Basel: Welcome 2 Miami Pop-Up Runway

Culture Basel turned Art Basel Weekend into an electrifying, three-day showcase in Wynwood, December 6–8, 2024. Hosted by The Rebel Agency and curated in collaboration with Culture Club Tours, this pop-up runway and cultural activation fused fashion, art, and music with Miami’s unique flair. At its core was the creative collaboration of local artists, designers, and performers, all converging to celebrate diversity and unapologetic self-expression.

Event Highlights:

•Designer Spotlight: Maleware Designs by Malachi

•Venue:The Nomi Village

•DJs: DJ Dubs and Radio Jamez

•Sponsors:Rap Basel 305

•Media Coverage:Our World Now and 3AAA Media

•Experience Coordinator: RSVD Noir

Among the standout designers was Malachi, the visionary behind Maleware Designs, whose work captivated audiences with its bold, avant-garde aesthetic. Each piece on the runway radiated innovation, showcasing his ability to balance cutting-edge creativity with wearable fashion.

Vouch App: Revolutionizing Creative Connections

Culture Basel’s success was made possible through the innovative Vouch app, a revolutionary platform designed to connect industry professionals with paid opportunities. The app allows creatives to build networks, land gigs, and earn commissions through referrals, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for artists, models, makeup artists, photographers, and more.

Beck, one of Vouch’s founding board managers, shared his inspiring journey from finance into the arts, emphasizing the app’s mission to empower creators. His vision highlights how Vouch is helping creatives build grassroots connections while reshaping the gig economy.

As a proud ambassador for Vouch, I can confidently say the app is an indispensable tool for anyone in the creative industries.

A Weekend of Creativity and Culture

The weekend kicked off with the O.W.N. MiniFest, a high-energy, block-party-inspired celebration. As someone born and bred in Brooklyn, I was impressed by how this Miami “block party” deepened my understanding of culture and community.

Day two brought the Welcome 2 Miami Fashion, Art & Music Exhibit, a rebellious takeover showcasing stunning runway presentations and innovative designs.

Backstage at Nomi Village, I connected with the creative minds behind the show: The Rebel Agency team, led by CEO J. Alexander. The Rebel Agency made history this year by being selected as one of four agencies chosen out of thousands to win at the 2024 Global International Agency Awards—an extraordinary accomplishment, achieved within their first four months of operation.

The models, prepared under the expertise of runway coach Angeline Carvajal and co-founder and makeup artist Mya Luciano, lit up the stage with confidence and fire. This high-caliber production mirrored NYC’s energy while retaining Miami’s unique flavor.

RSVD Brunch: A Perfect Ending

The weekend wrapped up with the RSVD Brunch, blending good food, great energy, and meaningful connections. This exclusive Rebel-style brunch marked a one-year anniversary for RSVD Noir, another key contributor to the Culture Basel activation. The experience exemplified the event’s mission: bringing people together to create lasting memories and build community.

Highlighting Our Partners

OWN (Our World Now)

OWN is a dynamic creative collective that empowers artists and influencers through professional development and representation. Known for their roots in the music industry and expertise in event production, OWN played a crucial role in connecting The Rebel Agency with Culture Club Tours, making Culture Basel an undeniable triumph.

Co-founded by Dennis Rose, aka King Rose, a celebrated recording artist and photographer based in Miami, OWN continues to innovate and elevate cultural experiences.

RSVD Noir

Under the leadership of visionary Alacey Ashley, RSVD Noir specializes in crafting exceptional events with precision and style. From hospitality management to logistical oversight, RSVD Noir was instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of Culture Basel.

Culture Club Tours

Culture Club Tours is a premier concert and festival production company, led by the dynamic duo DZtheRapper and Eli Hawkins. Their partnership with the iconic venue Nomi Village helped set the stage for Culture Basel’s unforgettable weekend.

The Rebel Agency

The Rebel Agency is a full-service modeling agency providing scouting, development, and coaching services while emphasizing diversity, inclusivity, and breaking beauty standards.

Founded by CEO J. Alexander, a renowned model, coach, and creative director from the Bronx, and co-founder Mya Luciano, a talented beauty photographer, makeup artist, and curve model from Brooklyn, The Rebel Agency is dedicated to fostering talent and innovation.

Runway coach Angeline Carvajal contributed her expertise, bringing over four years of experience in fashion and beauty to elevate the production’s success.

Why Culture Basel Matters

Culture Basel wasn’t just an event—it was a cultural reset. From celebrating Miami’s diverse art scene to highlighting the innovative potential of platforms like the Vouch app, the weekend reminded us of the power of collaboration and creativity.

Thank you, Miami, for giving me new roots and a reason to carry the culture and these collaborators on my back. This movement has been an unforgettable experience, and I’m grateful to have been a part of it. I even stayed a few days to explore the real estate market—you never know, Miami might see me again.
