What an honor it was to meet Oscar nominee, Danielle Brooks. Not only is she a southern bell but she is as gracious as she is kind. Pampers recently had a “Love the Change” event in Brooklyn, New York with Danielle who was hand selected as their advocate partnered for the launch of their new “Pampers Swaddlers 360” campaign.
Pampers “Love the Change” event brought together a group of diverse women to celebrate “Pampers Swaddlers 360.” We all also got the opportunity to share space with Danielle to discuss motherhood. Danielle had a lot to share about her stunning daughter Freeya, who has at the youthful age of 4, become a viral sensation. Danielle tells us that her daughter’s name Freeya came from the desire of her wanting her daughter to feel “free”. Her name is the reminder of that. From her motherhood journey with Freeya, Danielle has realized that Freeya is “her biggest fan”.
As we all enjoy hearing how Freeya’s name came to be, Danielle shares a small antidote with the audience. “They have a movie theater in their home, and there is a poster of Danielle in the home theater, each time Freeya passes by the poster she kisses it”. As her name is Freeya, she is most certainly free to do whatever she would like, and I am so happy to see that her decision of freedom is to love her mother like no other.
As mothers day crawls in,if you have the opportunity, let’s all try to not only be free with our love, but to give love to our Mother’s in the same capacity as Freeya loves Danielle.
