The Greenwich Polo Club celebrates the end of summer with a fully loaded Sunday Polo on their grounds.
Sunday September 6th was the second day of the East Coast Open at the Greenwich Polo Club, and crowds turned out not only for the game, but the grounds activities as well.

The Club has hosted several matches and cups this summer including the East Coast Silver Cup and the East Coast Gold Cup. To round out the last few weeks of summer, the East Coast Open started on August 30th and it set to end on the September 13th.
But that’s not all match days have to offer. While grounds are open hours before the match’s start time, guests enjoy shopping, drinks, a variety of food, and the best relaxed, summer atmosphere you could ask for.
Right at the entrance, you’re greeted with their Shops. The Vendor Village features luxury businesses featuring lifestyle items from athleisure to hand poured, soy candles. And you can continue shopping at the Club’s shop with classic items featuring the club’s logo.
Food trucks and tents line the field providing a wide variety of options. Guests can pick up coffee, signature drinks, or a summer spritz to sip while strolling the grounds. And after securing a seat in the stands or under an umbrella, food trucks are there to add to the picnic fare. Spots featured dumplings, sushi, jerk chicken, pizza and more.

For guests, the match is not just a game but a must-attend summer gathering. Everyone from young families to first time polo watchers enjoyed the late summer sun, playing games, and the floral adorned photo ops. Over in the Players Lounge live music from MOJO was the backdrop to friendly catch ups in plush outdoor seating.
The spirited atmosphere didn’t waver after the match began. Fans continued to show off their Sunday best, and take part in the Club’s traditional halftime divot stomp. The stomp invites everyone out onto the field to help fill in the divots left behind by the horses.

The East Coast Open final takes place on Sunday September 13 concluding the polo season. But they will be back on Trelawny Stadium on the weekend of September 26 as well to host the Major League Show Jumping CSI5 Team Competition.
