‘The IHG Athletic Club’ launches the latest pop-up event by IHG Hotels & Resorts leading up to the 2023 US Open.
Before opening to the public, we got to enjoy an intimate game of Pickleball and mingled over refreshments. The pop-up event also included pickleball training, to teach players [such as myself] how to properly hold the paddle when playing the game. Also amongst us were co-stars, Lola Tung and Sean Kaufman, of The Summer I Turned Pretty, who also had the opportunity to enjoy the game and have fun displaying sibling love on the court!
Taking place at the Kimpton Hotels Eventi, on Aug 25 and 26, attendees were introduced to a 12-5 pm itinerary of the activities for the day. Attendees could play in a tournament-style game and receive fun swag items. Attendees also enjoyed relaxing in the luxurious tennis-style court setting, all while sipping on refreshments and watching their friends compete, and took pictures at the paddle-styled wall, ensuring an unforgettable time to ring in the US Open!

The 2023 US Tennis Championships will run from Aug 28 through Sept. 10 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
