The McKittrick HotelΒ (530 West 27thΒ Street, NYC),Β home ofΒ Sleep No More,Β will re-open its popular year-round rooftop hideawayΒ Gallow GreenΒ with the annual βHerb Festivalβ onΒ Friday, April 20.
This past winter, New York Cityβs most transportive rooftop getaway was home toΒ The Lodge at Gallow Green, a cozy mountainside lodge nestled atop the hotel in a secluded forest of pine trees. Now, the whimsical, overgrown secret garden is set to return for the warmer months.
Gallow GreenΒ specializes inΒ potent cocktails, signature large-format punches and seasonal cuisineΒ for dinner, plusΒ a brunch buffet featuring live musicΒ on weekends. The McKittrickβs Executive ChefΒ Pascal Le SeacβhΒ developed the menuΒ with Frenchette team and former Balthazar colleaguesΒ Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr.
Elevated small plates and saladsΒ range fromΒ Steak Tartare, Tuna Crudo,Β Kale CaesarΒ and Bulgur WheatΒ Green Salad, to tenderΒ CalamariΒ andΒ Fried Cheese CurdsΒ with green tomato compote.Β Sharable platesΒ include aΒ CruditΓ© BowlΒ that is almost too gorgeous to eat,Β aΒ Cheese PlateΒ andΒ Charcuterie & Salumi, which can also be combined for a selection of both.
Pizzas, made fresh to order in the rooftopβs wood burning oven, includeΒ Vegetable, Meatball, ProsciuttoΒ andΒ Cherrystone Clams,Β as well asΒ Classic, PepperoniΒ andΒ Margherita.Β Lobster Rolls, Grilled OctopusΒ with Romesco,Β SwordfishΒ with saffron aioli,Β Steak SkewersΒ and aΒ Sandwich CubanoΒ round out theΒ Mains.
