Apparently, he’s rescuing a bull who escaped as he was being taken to a slaughterhouse and was recaptured on the streets of Queens in New York.
The bull was caught by Farm Sanctuary and taken to a clinic in Brooklyn, CNN Reports. Stewart and his wife, Tracey McShane, transported the bull to Farm Sanctuary’s New York shelter in Watkins Glen. Since his last episode of The Daily Show this past August, Stewart has said he and his wife were looking forward to spending time on their own farm in New Jersey, which in October was announced as Farm Sanctuary’s New Jersey branch.

In light of all the press the presidential election has garnered for both Democratic and Republican primaries, many are looking to Jon Stewart, who’s run on The Daily Show was characterized by its satirical political coverage and earned the show 23 Emmy Awards and 60 nominations during his 16-year run, with the hopes that he may shed some light on the candidates. A petition on Change.org that calls for Stewart to moderate a 2016 presidential debate has been signed by 340,567 people to date. The petition says Stewart “established himself as the most trusted person in (satirical) news”. Stewart has not commented on the possibility of moderating a debate, but late last year HBO announced a four-year contract with Stewart, beginning with short digital content, and viewers hope that it will be something reminiscent of his previous work on The Daily Show.
