Resident Magazine celebrated their March 2016 cover girl Dylan Lauren, daughter of famous designer Ralph Lauren, as well as the founder of Dylan’s Candy Bar, on Wednesday, March 30th at her famous sweets emporium. The cover photo celebrates Dylan’s Candy BarN, which is the foundation she founded upon a lifelong love of animals and a desire to come to their aid. So naturally, the photo that made the cover highlighted the value of formal pet training and proper pet care with Lauren with her dog, Jersey, who was a rescue dog.
The event took place at the newest Dylan’s Candy Bar location downtown in Union Square. At the party, guests were invited to enjoy samples of the endless array of confections offered, which rivals that of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Apart from just candy, the location also offers a an impressive ice cream counter and signature Dylan’s candy bar merchandise. The pop art inspired venue allowed the guests to re-experience their childhood with giant spinning illuminated candy canes, color changing rock cany sticks, and an enormous lollipop tree set in a sleek black and glittery atmosphere. The event also featured adult drinks with popular childhood candies such as berry gummies, chocolates and Sour Patch Kids.
