Vegetarian Vision recently hosted a kick off for their International Vegetarian Convention at the Indian Consulate.

Vegetarian Vision will celebrate its 25th anniversary during the International Vegetarian Convention at Penn Plaza Pavilion (401 Seventh Ave. at 33 St., NYC) on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10th, 2017.  The weekend will highlight compassion and healthy living and feature non-stop food, fun, fitness, and wellness.  The family-friendly festivities will include demonstrations, speakers, classes, tastings, and live cultural performances, beginning at 10 a.m. daily. The two-day event is being co-produced by New Life Expo founder Mark Becker.

At the kick off guests were able to enjoy delicious indian food and attend a press conference to learn more about the convention and the importance of veg lifestyles. HealthyPlanet President Bob DiBenedetto acted as the night’s Master of Ceremonies and host for the evening. Notable guests included restaurateur Nitin Vyas, K.K. Mehta and his wife Chandra, Meatless Monday’s Monica Bassi, organization founder Vinod Shah and Mark Becker.

Bombay Express catered the event where guests enjoyed foods like Papad, Fryums, Grape Pickel, Pad Rotli, Jeera Rice, Dal Tadka, Bharela Bhindi, Papdi Lilva Shaak, Dum Aloo, fresh Mango Rus and Jalebees!

Tickets are $15 for one day and $25 for the weekend. Vegetarian Vision, a non-profit association was formed in 1992, encourages and inspires people to embrace vegetarianism, promotes the benefits of this diet, and provides educational information on the benefits of plant based foods and cruelty-free living.
