One of my favorite events of the year is NYFW wear the industry insiders get a sneak peak of what we will all be wearing the following season.
What most people don’t know is before those models hit the cat walk backstage looking like perfection to showcase the latest trends for 15 minutes, they were backstage for hours getting glammed in hair, makeup and nails.
We got a chance to partake in the organized chaos that is backstage beauty right before Taoray Wang showcased their SS17 collection and it was simply amazing!
Talking to Rose who was the lead for Ulta on nails I was introduced to the reverse French manicure. Rose said, “every season Taoray uses neutral but this season stepping out of the box with a new twist on a classic look.”
Then I headed on over to the hair station where the Redken professionals were sculpting and molding the hair into a back knot using structure but still soft and romantic.
Finally I met with Kimberly the key make up artist for Bobbi Brown. She was creating a bold eye with glowing skin, natural lip but bold and soft brows with faux lashes. Strong but feminine.
So there you have it the SS17 beauty trends straight from the runway!
