On Tuesday September 13, Threeasfour debuted a stunning collection of colorful, 3-D pieces inspired by animals and sound waves. Behind the scenes of this jaw dropping fashion show was a team of talented makeup artists and stylists. Joseph DiMaggio was one of the hair stylists on the team, and he took some time out of his busy schedule for an exclusive interview about the looks.
The collection featured two different hairstyles, a sleek straight look and a larger-than-life fluffy hairstyle. When asked about the unique first look, Joseph said, “The inspiration is individuality, which we are seeing a lot this season… Enhancing the girls natural texture, but just a little more ‘done’.”

Joseph was very inspired by the more animal and sound-like pieces from the collection for the second look. “Another look we’re doing is a little more runway,” he said, “Its a little bit like a fluffy cloud. The collection itself is based off of sound waves, so we’re kind of tying all of those things together and letting it be open.”
Joseph and the rest of the team used Davines beauty products to style all of the looks, the blow dry primer and the dry texturizing spray are two of the favorite products for the stylists. The models and their hair looked flawless as they walked down the runway thanks to Joseph and the talented group of stylists.
