What’s a better mid-week treat than sipping on hand-crafted tequila cocktails?
Last week, Tanteo Tequila hosted a Post-Bar Convent Brooklyn Wind-Down Party at the McCarren Hotel Rooftop. At this event, guests were able to gather at this spacious, open air rooftop and try some of Tanteo Tequila. For drinks, there were two signature cocktails made with Tanteo Tequila. There was the option of a Jalapeno infused Tanteo or the Chipotle infused Tanteol. Both expressions were masterfully crafted, went down smooth, and had beautiful notes of smokiness and spiciness to it. Our favorite cocktail of the night was a chipotle pineapple cocktail that boasted notes of smokiness from the chipotle that married well with the sweetness of the pineapple.
Along with the spicy Jalapeno, and the smokey Chipotle, Tanteo also offers an extra spicy Habanero expression as well as their higher proof Blanco too. And coming down the line is their seasonal expression, Tanteo Navidad. This will be Tanteo’s first ever aged expression, made with ultra-premium Añejo tequila rested for 18 months in American oak barrels, then hand-infused with pequin chilis, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and cocoa beans. Navidad mixes with a variety of holiday cocktails: from egg nog, mulled wines, mules and more. You can find this expression available in October where it can be ordered here.
Each bottle is crafted by hand in Juanacatlán, Mexico at the only distillery owned by its co-op of agave farmers. What makes Tanteo even more notable is that it is the only tequila brand to be owned by the co-op farmers too. On top of that, Tanteo Tequila has made it their mission to support the locals around and has aimed to employ more women into their workforce in Mexico, particularly emphasizing those who are single mothers or widows.
