Fashion month is always a dazzling reminder of the fashion industry’s is a widespread and significant impact on our culture.
The intersection between innovation and fashion is always ever apparent especially in the first weeks of February in New York City. I had the pleasure of covering “The Turkish Designers” show at Spring Studios.
On Thursday, February 11th, Footaction No.1 Way Design Program held its presentation for Style360’s fashion week event. Partnering with FAAS and Pensole, Footaction revealed the five finalists for the No.1 Way Design Program.
On Monday, February 10th, IMG Supermodel and fashion icon, Maye Musk spoke on her new book “A Woman Makes a Plan”. During NYFW, Maye Musk leads the NYFW Talk “Silver is the New Blonde” at the Spring Studios Sunken Living Room.
This season’s theme was Narcissist Rhapsody.
Luooif Studio dazzled attendees with their newest collection at NYFW: The Shows. Held at Spring Studios in Soho, Luooif Studio’s collection emphasizes the naughty but elegant shadows that run through the soul line of the body.
The Fall 2020 Badgley Mischka show presented an array of Edwardian silhouettes such as bustle sleeves and renaissance bodices contrasted by contemporary styles consisting of plaid embellished suit sets.
Another fashion week, another incredible Alice+Olivia presentation. Above all, I look forward to Stacey Bendet’s Alice+Olivia presentations every season. The most exciting part of it all is heading backstage with TRESemmé, of course, to see the beauty looks come together.
NYFW: The Talks The Evolving Standard of Beauty With Four History Making Women of Color
On Thursday, February 6th, Spring Studios hosted “NYFW: The Talks, The Evolving Standard of Beauty.” in their Sunken Living room. Moderated by Bozoma Saint, the history-making, Miss Universe, Zozibini Tzuni; Chelsie Kryst, Miss USA; Kaleigh Garris, Miss Teen USA; and Nia Franklin, Miss America 2019 spoke about the excitement in being a part of history, and what’s next.
