This season’s theme was Narcissist Rhapsody.
Founded in 2016, Dirty Pineapple is a Shanghai-based clothing band that “combines high street fashion and creative matching” mixing both “high-quality basic and innovative items.” Dirty Pineapple strives to be “a universal sexless uniform of personality and lifestyle.” Dirty Pineapple aims to take inspiration from the past, present, and future to create its narrative in hope of a gender-neutral world. Dirty Pineapple achieved notoriety by partnering with the Andy Warhol Foundation for its inaugural collection.
This season’s color palette included a variety of bright blues, yellows, neutrals and earth tones, and black and white. As stated in Dirty Pineapple’s mission statement, they incorporated layering in almost every piece combing a variety of textures, materials, and prints. Larger outerwear was paired with simple shorts and tights. Vibrant blue, polka-dot blazers were mixed and matched with golden, velvet pants and the footwear was courtesy of Superga and Dr. Martens. Our favorite look featuring model Kendall Harrison included an oversized, knit, black and yellow houndstooth trench coat paired with a black and yellow, polka-dot tie, black textured top, and yellow, fluffy shorts paired with over-the-knee stockings and black snakeskin boots, definitely a standout look from the collection.
