INHERENT‘s mission as a brand extends beyond the calendar dates of New York Fashion Week (NYFW). “We began as a small online store in 2020 and soon grew into a flagship boutique storefront in Colorado Springs, CO, only a year later,” the company’s founder and designer, Taylor Draper, announced ahead of his latest runway presentation. The mogul has openly battled mental health issues, including depression, and aims to utilize his growing enterprises and collections to destigmatize the conversation around seeking therapy and wellness resources.

Everywhere you turn this NYFW, you’ll see themes of fluidity in everything from fashion to hair, to mindsets themselves. But what exactly does this term mean? On Valentine’s Day, it was a sea of style (and fluidity, might we add) at Manhattan’s iconic Spring Studios as Choreographer Parris Goebel, Designer Jonathan Simkahi and TRESemmé Stylist & Entrepreneur Lacy Redway sat down with Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Director Jenna Rosenstein to discuss the meaning of fluidity and how it presents itself in their own lives and careers.
In The City: Inside Veronica Beard’s NYFW Fall/Winter 2023 Runway Show
Earlier this week we were downtown in NYC at the old Barneys where Casamigos joined Veronica Beard in celebrating the launch of their fall runway show for NYFW. Guests including Suki Waterhouse Suki Waterhouse, the English model, actor, and singer, who descended from the spiral staircase singing her song “Neon Signs,” which not only set the stage for the Veronicas’ fall 2023 collection but was also a cheeky nod to the launch of their new logo, which was illuminated from behind against the back wall of the ground floor of the space.
Seven innovative Indonesian designers featured modest clothes at the Indonesia Now Fashion Show. Models walked down the glamorous Spring Studios runway. Anggiasari Mawardi’s brand ‘AM’ featured sustainable silk fabric. Indah Nada’s brand ‘Nada Puspita’ displayed sateen and chiffon in warm pastels. Each label emphasized sustainability and utilized nature themes.

Designer Malan Breton makes his Autumn-Winter 23/24 NYFW splash with the evocative collection, Fantôme. Set inside the Lemán Ballroom in Tribeca, fashion-forward guests gathered from all corners or the city, and the broader world, to witness this ethereal show unfold.
Behind The Scenes: How Odile Gilbert and Jonathan Simkhai Achieved Their Show-stopping Hairstyles on the Runway This NYFW with TRESemmé
This NYFW was all about fluidity, and the sleek runway hairstyles showcased the versatility of all that hair can become. For Jonathan Simkhai, fluidity played many parts in the intricate aspects of both his runway designs, and the styling that takes place behind the scenes. Backstage, hairstylist Odile Gilbert worked to create two incredible styles with the help of TRESemmé. For Rodarte, Odile created The Gothic Fairy; and for Jonathan Simkhai, she created The Sleek Side Part.
