NEW YORK, NY – NYFW is in full swing this year, with sustainability of fashion at the forefront of everyone’s minds.
At this year’s NYFW, the Green Show hosted three events: a panel on sustainability, Dur Doux’s S/S24 runway show, and an after party. All events were held at BONDST Hudson Yards, the restaurant group’s newest location (it is set to have its grand opening on September 19, 2023) with the iconic Vessel building in the backdrop.
During the panel, moderated by Roman Bolli of South Pole, panelists Erin Dana Lichy, Khary Simon, Morgan Kelly, and Selena Hill, spoke on varying topics about sustainability both within and outside of fashion, including the environmental ramifications of fast fashion and the wildfires ravaging across the country.
Shortly after, guests moved towards the back of the room for the runway show, where natural light flooded the space and created a warm and inviting atmosphere for the show.
Dur Doux, a luxury brand founded by mother-daughter duo Cynthia and Najla Burt, presented their Spring / Summer 24 collection, known as ‘Sous-Marine’. Below are some of the looks from this upcoming collection.
