This Monday, actress Gabrielle Union and star of BET series, Being Mary Jane unveiled her new holiday gift collection in partnership with Shutterfly at The Gramercy Park Hotel. Gifts in the collection include customizable ceramic tiles, a unique way to showcase a favorite photo on a wrought-iron easel stand; personalized stemless wine glasses; a santa sack, a durable bag customized with favorite photos and messages to transport holiday gifts and a modern metallic picture frame with pre-cut mat options amongst other unique gift items.

At the intimate gathering, Gabrielle shared her gifting and decorating tips for the season, “A lot of this came about because I’m a terrible gift giver. I’m one of those people who will just get a bottle of tequila and my manager was like ‘You have to put a little more effort in, you’ve been giving booze for the last 15 years,’ I was like ‘What am I going to get?’ and he was like, ‘What do you love?’ Around that time we heard from Shutterfly and I was like maybe I can figure out how to be a better gift giver and figure out what I can do with Shutterfly to incorporate my love of family and friends all in one thing. I think the collection came together beautifully beyond my wildest dreams. A lot of the gifts that I came up with are things that I want people to secretly give me. Like wine glasses with ironic little sayings on it or throw blankets. I have an obsession with throws. I hate a throw that is just decorative, that’s not actually warm-it’s like great I look cute but I’m freezing. I want like great beautiful functional throws, so we have these sherpa throws that are perfect. Just great and amazing gifts that reflect the things that I love. Shutterfly gives you an outlet as to what do I do with these great pictures that are saved on my phone or saved in my camera- I can turn them into beautiful tiles, reincorporate them into our house in new, fun and creative ways.”
