London took over Los Angeles at least for a night as Spotify celebrated Rita Ora’s new album, Phoenix.
The festive event took place at the sassiest of venues, The Abbey in West Hollywood, CA. Phoenix is the second studio album by the British pop star under her new label Warner Bros. The album is comprised of twelve songs including the more popular singles, ‘Let You Love Me’ and ‘Your Song’.
Excited fans filled the British themed venue while songs from Ora’s album played throughout the night. As always, you can’t have an event without a photo booth and this one was decked out with London’s famous red telephone booths, newspapers and British flag props. Just in case you weren’t into the London vibes yet, the catered hors d’oeuvres going around included some of London’s special bites such as fish and chips, Eccles cake, cucumber sandwiches and several yummy desserts. The crowd was in high spirits as they eagerly waited for Ora to hit the stage. Finally the moment we were all waiting for, Ora began with fan favorite song, ‘Anywhere’ and continued to perform six more songs from the album. As if the night wasn’t already amazing, Mexican singer/songwriter Sofia Reyes surprised us all with a spicy performance of her single, ‘Uno Dos Tres’. Ora joined her on stage as they danced and sang together.
Sadly the night had to come to an end but not before Ora announced that she will be going on tour in 2019! Be on the look out for her upcoming tour dates and in the meantime head to Spotify to check out the album!
