Takashi is back at it again with a fresh new collab.
For those of you who don’t know, Takashi Murakami is a Japanese contemporary artist who is known for his prints, paintings, and sculptures. He has become an icon in the art world and many influencers, like Pharrell, own his work and merchandise. Takashi has recently collaborated with Mark Ecko and ComplexCon to release an Exclusive and Limited Merchandise.
Murakami has recently launched his latest exhibition, Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago earlier this week and ComplexCon released the merchandise to honor his accomplishment. The capsule collection included T-shirts, hats, pins, and more. You can visit ComplexCon’s online store here and see what’s still available. All of the cool stuff is already sold out, but if you’re a die-hard Murakami fan, there’s still stuff to cop.
ComplexCon and MCA have also worked together to present On Style: Virgil Abloh and Marc Ecko, a dialogue event set to take place on July 17 that wants to honor Murakami and go into depth on the ways in which his work has inspired people in the fields of art, design and high fashion. Murakami’s exhibition at the MCA runs June 6 to September 24.
