The Knockturnal spent a wonderful evening at No. 10 restaurant for an exclusive tasting and can tell you all about our savory time spent in Los Angeles. Our hosts were the most hospitable and friendliest people we have ever encountered, and they helped us get started off with a delicious selection of wines. No. 10 restaurant has delectable wines. We enjoyed Prosecco and Moscato. Both of these choices offered a unique taste that spread across any wine lovers’ checklist, satisfying those with more of a dry preference all the way to a sweet and smooth taste.
Our first bites of Italy were from the Antipasti section of the menu; Carne Cruda and Polpo. The Carne Cruda was absolutely exceptional, a mixture of beef, flavored with mustard and lemon, giving off a savory note to begin the dinner. No. 10 Restaurant’s rendition of Polpo was cooked to perfection, providing a tender and melt in your mouth sensation.
The chef sent our taste buds to the Pasta & Risotti part of the menu and we can’t stop raving about the tasty Gnocchi. The Gnocchi was the exemplary combination of pasta and seafood; mussels, clams, and shrimp. We have never tasted anything better.. Making our way to the Secondi options of the menu, we tried Spigola al Cartoccio, making it a wonderful follow up to our seafood flavors of the night. Spigola al Cartoccio is a culinary masterpiece that No. 10 restaurant has managed to perfect; creating a rich plate that brings together Mediterranean sea bass, zucchini, potatoes, and grape tomatoes, all drizzled in olive oil.
To wrap up our main courses, we had Spaghetti Squash and Parmigiana di Melanzane from the Contorni selection of the menu. If you’re looking for a dish that is light with a hint of basil, pink pepper and olive oil, then the Spaghetti Squash will be the ideal choice for your palate. Parmigiana di Melanzane was a mesmerizing eggplant, embedded with Fiordilatte di Agerola and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese delicacies, topped with crispy greens, giving your tastebuds a delightful bite.
Ending the night on a sweet note, of course, we enjoyed two desserts, Mele in Gabbia and N10 Sphere. Mele in Gabbia is an intricate roasted apple paired with walnuts and raisins topped with a smooth scoop of cinnamon gelato which makes you crave more with each spoonful. For any chocolate connoisseurs the N10 Sphere is the ultimate chocolate experience. The dessert consists of dark, milk and white chocolate semifreddo, meringue, amaretti cookies, mint and huckleberry. As the N10 Sphere is brought to your table the server will pour chocolate sauce over the sphere automatically triggering a mouthwatering reaction.
