“I’ve Got Ants In My Pants And I Need To Dance”
The only artist authorized to paint Peanuts© strip characters will be debuting a new collection of works at the AFA Gallery in New York City. The exhibit entitled “I Got Ants In My Pants, And I Need To Dance Paintings” will be available for acquisition beginning November 4 through December 1, 2015. Through a personal friendship and an artistic relationship both Tom Everhart and Peanuts© creator Charles Schulz have made a bond that has produced world-renowned paintings.
“The strip originally ran from October 2, 1950 through February 13, 2000 – the day after Schulz’s death – making true his half-joking statement that the “Peanuts” strip would outlive him. It is the most popular and influential strip in the history of the genre, and ultimately earned Schulz over $1 billion during his lifetime,” according to FireRock Fine Art.
This exhibit will be of great interest to both families and art collectors, it’s not to be missed!
