The Knockturnal counts down menswear trends and must have items for the winter season!

Preparing for the winter will be made so much more simple with these go-to items. Here’s a list of trends that will help you spice up your closet.

.) Trench coats – On those cold rainy days, the trench coat is your best friend. In addition to offering warm coverage, its customary belt is also key to accentuating your body shape.

.) The perfect winter boot by Nike – Owning a winter boot is essential for the winter season. They will keep your feet warm, and dry. They are versatile and go well with patterned, or colorful socks.

.) Bomber jackets – The constant use of bomber jackets on designer runways has proven that this item will be a huge hit this winter. As much simplicity as it exudes with its detail, it makes it easy to upgrade a very casual look. For the men who are looking to put in a bit of effort on their typical long sleeve shirts and jeans, this one is for you.

.) Raf Simons Ozweego trainer – There is no doubt that sneakers have been at the forefront in menswear these past few years. With the variety of sneakers out there, you’re going to want to seal the deal with these innovative Raf Simons Oswego Sneakers. It does not get any better than well detailed, statement footwear these days.

.) Fitted caps – Accessories like fitted caps are one of the key pieces to putting the finishing touch on an outfit. The relaxed essence of a fitted cap is the reason it has risen so quickly in popularity.

.) Denim jackets – The denim jacket is a transitional essential which means it is very necessary for all seasons; Whether it is for layering or reforming a look like the bomber jacket. Very masculine, versatile, and warm. Layer a denim jacket under an overcoat with a turtle neck or sweater, with trousers and boots, and you’re good to go.

.) Over coats – Whether it is single or double breasted, the overcoat is a definitive and authoritative piece in menswear that will never go out of style. Hence the reason for the famous Kanye West quote, “DO YOU SEE THIS COAT?”

.) Button ups – Every man needs a button up. It’s a foundational piece.

.) Chelsea boots – The chelsea boot is such a statement shoe with an understated yet definitive silhouette and that’s why it has maintained its relevance in menswear today. Ranging from from dapper menswear to rocker chic, its minimal detail allows you to maintain a clean and effortless look.

.) Lastly, we have our season favorite the classic turtle-neck – The turtleneck might be the most controversial piece on our list because most men typically don’t entertain the idea but it is the most classic. You can dress it up with a crisp suit and downplay it with a pair of jeans and a jacket. Typically, turtlenecks are very comfortable and it does its job as a winter piece. Keeping you warm!
