Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin and Bulgari North America President Daniel Paltridge hosted BVLGARI Celebrates 40 Years of BVLGARI-BVLGARI at the brand’s New York flagship store on Fifth Avenue.
Forty years ago Bulgari launched their first watch line, marking an iconic time in the brand’s history, which inspired future designs in accessories and jewelry for the subsequent years. The exhibition highlights the return of 1970s golden glamour as well as a presentation of the anniversary timepiece Bulgari Roma 40. The brand also unveiled new timepieces for the first time in North America. The timepieces on display are finalists at the most prestigious watchmaking award ceremony in the world, Geneva Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie.
The brand also celebrated their new eyewear this past spring with their “With Love from Rome” event in Los Angeles at the Sunset Hotel. Bulgari’s Le Gemme eyewear collection is a line of top-gamut bejeweled sunglasses and prescription frames, which are artfully crafted with precision metals and exceptional gemstones. Bulgari applied its high-jewelry approach and know-how to eyewear in order to pave the way for the concept of luxe eyewear. They are creating frames that are precious and colorful, feminine and dynamic, and are meant to be kept and worn forever, like a piece of fine jewelry.
