On February 10, The Knockturnal attended the debut of SevenCrash as part of New York Fashion Week at Industrial Studios in Manhattan.
The international streetwear brand, who is partnered with BASF, prepared the runway to promote their Fall/Winter 2019 Collection. Founded in 2013, it is now based in New York City. Their mantra being “Crash the Rules,” and embodies SevenCrash’s effort to merge and experiment with streetwear and high fashion through highly advanced, technical fabrications and contemporary design.
SevenCrash’s inspiration for the new collection derived from the concept of “Quantus”. Which is “an approach charged with possibility.” Their 2019 designs defy boundaries and expand upon the conventional images of technology and the micro world, aiming to reach beyond prevailing thinking to explore the unknown world from a particle perspective. Additionally, their clothes are influenced by the youth culture style found in New York City.
And because New York City is the greatest city ever, SevenCrash gives an ode to the city through their designs. In their clothing, you can spot sharp and irregular tailoring – which imitates the many skyscrapers we are all too familiar with. As well as doodles on shirts portraying the columns of a bridge. SevenCrash is inventive colorful garments that is very fun to watch and to wear. Trendy runway fashion meets New York City Streetwear!
