The show kicked off at around 3:30 p.m. at The Gallery at Skylight Clarkson SQ but not before Solange Knowles walked in grabbing the attention of the guests and proceeding to the best seat in the house.
It was indeed love at first sight as Devyn Windsor opened the show dressed in an all-white mesh fit with hair pulled back in a slick style. She strutted the runway effortlessly with her killer legs. The looks to follow were each uniquely done and styled to perfection. Hilary Rhoda was also a part of the show as well as other well-known models.

Karigam SS16 Runway Show was one of those close to surreal shows. The minimalism of all the pieces and attention to detail was immaculate. Karigam focused on a monochrome palette with a hint of blush-nudes which all contributed to the simplistic nature of the collection. The collection consisted of basic pieces with an edge to each piece.

Karigam nailed the cuts, the layering, the mesh and leather detailing. For a first appearance at NYFW, they did phenomenal. Every piece in the collection is wearable and modern. Just like the collection, the runway music to go along with the show was equally as simple but with a hint of uptempo beats that weren’t distracting – just enough to still keep you focused on the clean collection.

After the finale, Karina Gamez who is the creative director of Karigam greeted guests before closing the show.
