Marissa Webb’s NYFW show took place at the prestigious Made At the Milk Studios.
Amongst her guests were Alyssa Milano, Coco Rocha and the Song style bloggers and sisters, Dani and Aimee Song. On Instagram, Marissa credits “Albert” as the inspiration of her Spring 2016 runway show. In true spring fashion, the collection was filled with light and dark florals, pastel colors, lace detailing items as well as vibrant colors. The models who strutted the U-shaped runway effortlessly had the nude make up look going on- with hair in a side swoop pulled back loosely.
Webb paired all the looks (which included jumpsuits, loose dresses, jackets and coordinates and more) with her gorgeous fringe style stiletto sandals in various vibrant colors. She didn’t miss a heartbeat when it came to versatility and diversity of the collection. There was something (color and style) for everyone which I totally adored. In addition to that, she had a rad collection of uptempo music playing.
The finale showcased all the looks of the collection but not before a dramatic deem of the lights. Resident stylist extraordinaire and Banana Republic’s creative director, Marissa Webb walked solo about quarter of the runway for a few seconds after her models walked the finale. Dressed in a black and white ensemble, Marissa walked into a room filled with applause, she smiled and exchanged hugs with a couple of her guests before waving gracefully to the audience and heading backstage.
