A night to remember, The Knockturnal was on the scene of the world-renowned boxer and businessman, Floyd Mayweather, official birthday at The Gabriel Hotel South Beach.
The evening began with celebrities walking the red carpet. E! News was on the scene and conducted celebrity interviews. When guests first arrived they enjoyed a visual timeline of Floyd Mayweather’s boxing career, an indoor and outdoor open bar, music, and hors d’oeuvres while celebrities walked the red carpet.
After Floyd Mayweather walked the red carpet the party was moved outdoors where there was bottle service set up at every table, more hors d’oeuvres, hookahs, dancers dancing from different levels of the hotel, a DJ, and a live performance from the iconic singer, songwriter, and record producer, Donell Jones. The guest in attendance danced the whole night away on the pool that was converted into a dance floor and enjoyed a variety of hip-hop, R&B, and some pop jams.
The food throughout the night had a soul-food and Caribbean food theme, excluding the desserts. I enjoyed the jerk chicken, rice & peas, mac & cheese, candied yams, collard greens, and doughnuts. The jerk chicken was my favorite hors d’oeuvre- the chicken had the perfect amount of spice and tasted like something my Jamaican grandmother used to make for me as a child. The open bar consisted of champagne or spirits and mixers. My go-to drink for the night was Tito’s soda with a splash of cran because that is always refreshing and delicious.
Floyd Mayweather was not only using this event to celebrate his birthday, but also celebrating a new investment partnership with CGI focused on conscious investing and developing projects with a social impact. Raoul Thomas, founder, and CEO of Miami-based investment firm CGI Merchant Group (CGI) hosted the exclusive event. The Gabriel Hotel South Beach is owned by the CGI Merchant Group. 
Special guests in attendance included: Lil Wayne, Quavo, Daymond John, Antonio Brown, Donell Jones, Aaron Donald, Tyron Woodly, Horace Brown, Bernice Burgos, and many more. All the special guests I had the pleasure to interact with were friendly, dancing, singing, and enjoying life.
