Cheat Day Land is a must have experience for all things food and mega food lovers!
Cheat day is no longer a simple reassurance you give yourself one day of the week when eating a little snack that isn’t part of your workout regime or health grind. Thanks to Rubi Rymenmy, founder and creator of Cheat Day Land, an entire pop up museum dedicated to your favorite “cheat day” goodies is now open at the Downtown LA Arts District. This one of a kind interactive museum gives everyone a little satisfaction to their guilty pleasure snacks by indulging themselves in multiple exhibits that highlight the most delicious of foods and sweetest of treats!
The Knockturnal was able to attend Cheat Day Land’s preview day and get a taste of the museum before its doors officially open to the public on October 1st. Special guests were invited to attend Cheat Day Land’s venue on September 28th to get an exclusive look. VIP guests, such as; Leia Sergakis, Koa Paden, Miki War, Khris Riddick-Tynes, Kim Glass, Chocolate Punk and many others, entered the museum on a red carpet and continued the sweet ride throughout 15+ rooms that spotlight non-other than cheat day foods.
Guests were exposed to pizza picture walls, burger illusions, pancake flipping trampolines, donut swings, a giant pool-sized bowl of cereal, a foodie interpretation of The Beatles famous crossing of Abbey Road, chocolate room overload, and food inspired photo opportunities that accentuated the overall theme of Cheat Day Land. Room after room, the food exhibits created a place that allowed everyone to have fun, interact with food and appreciate the unique art pieces create by local artists. If there was a favorite cheat day snack you craved, this museum had it.
After the fun-filled walk through the museum was completed, Cheat Day Land had a party that continued the food endeavors! The party room was filled with live music accompanied by a dance performer on a Cyr wheel. As guests mingled, servers made their way around the room and served the most delicious bite-size treats; hummus, bbq pork, mini tacos, grilled octopus, and of course mini donut holes covered in sweet chocolate. If you wanted drinks with the snacks; Boxed Water, Trust Me Vodka, On the Rocks and others, were accompanying the appetizing hors-d’oeuvres with refreshing beverages.
