At the Venue, a groundbreaking concept store and fashion incubator, held its grand opening last Tuesday April 26th in the Nolita neighborhood of NYC.
Catered by fast casual chain Beatnic, guests were treated to a delightful array of appetizers and beverages while being shopping the store’s first collection.
Founded by Fanny Kong, AT THE VENUE was inspired by her first concept store, which she opened in Taiwan. The NYC expansion allows participating brands to showcase their designs while providing open-ended collaborative opportunities and support with tasks like manufacturing and networking. Additionally, the store provides sellers the opportunity to sell their products, utilize the co-working office space, host private events, as well as atelier and manufacturing services. The permanent storefront opened at 260 Mott Street in Downtown Manhattan after a successful pop up stint in the West Village last year.
At the center of Kong’s mission is a focus on sustainability. AT THE VENUE is committed to sustainable production practices and ensures that brands they are collaborating with feel the same. Their fabrics are woven in CO2-neutral facilities, their yarns are fully traceable, and their zero-waste packaging commitment means that orders are shipped in a material that is fully compostable.
The collective will constantly feature new brands, priced affordably for the modern, conscious consumer. Current brands featured at the grand opening included maternity wear from Emilia George, menswear from FANG, and children swear from Tai&MOMO.
AT THE VENUE operates from 11AM-7PM Monday-Saturday and 12PM-6PM on Sundays.
