In the heart of Miami’s vibrant fashion scene, Dec. 6 marked an extraordinary moment as PatBo celebrated the grand opening of its new store and launched the second capsule collaboration between Creative Director Patricia Bonaldi and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio. The evening unfolded as a dazzling spectacular that flawlessly blended fashion, music, and luxury on display for all to see in a perfect union of elegance.

Attending the PatBo Grand Opening in Miami as an honored guest, I had the unique honor of wearing a dress designed by the fashion house. Presenting a new level of sophistication, I attended the event wearing an incredibly gorgeous blue gown, which speaks to PatBo’s unmatched passion to style and elegance. Representing the brand elevated the experience and added to the evening’s specialness. It was truly a work of art. Wearing PatBo made me feel like I was a part of the captivating story that was being told during this incredible celebration of fashion, culture, and creativity in addition to connecting with the brand’s vision.
Brazilian designer, Patricia Bonaldi, captured the spirit of Brazilian culture, bringing it alive with not only her designs but also the sensual beats of Brazil. It created an immersive atmosphere that instantly transported attendees to Rio de Janeiro’s lively streets.
Adding to the allure of the night was the carefully curated music selection by Clara Cady, a Brazilian DJ. Cady sett he tone for the evening, infusing the room with energy and excitement. As guests explored the store and admired the exquisite designs, Cady’s beats provided a rhythmic backdrop, enhancing the overall experience.
The pinnacle of the night came with a special acoustic performance by Sophie Hawley-Weld, a moment that left the audience captivated. What started out as a personal investment turned into Tiffany James investing her time into a whole community through her company, Modern Blk Girl (MBG).
After her $10,000 dollar Tesla investment grew past $2 million in 2020, James earned her wings, and began to teach others to fly shortly after. Fashioned to give black women access to the stock market and lessons on trading, Modern Blk Girl has gained over 400,000 members, mainly women of color, who hope to one day follow in James’ footsteps.
On November 20, James, alongside skincare brand Topicals, spirit curator Rémy Martin and more, celebrated three years of MBG with We Rise: A Toast to Women and Financial Literacy.
Held at the exclusive 2045 Studio in NYC, the celebration introduced guests to products from Topicals stashed in the ladies’ room, mani/pedis from Laqlab, 20 different scents courtesy of Mind Games Fragrance and the honoree of the evening; Ms. James.
Hailing from Brooklyn with Caribbean roots, James opened up about her journey during a Q&A. In short, the support from her community and interest in finance fueled MBG. “Knowing how Black women supported me, I had to pour back into them,” James noted.

Held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at THE RISE HOLLYWOOD, the event was a spectacular ode to three decades of ECKŌ UNLTD’s groundbreaking innovation.
The highlight of the evening was the launch of the collaborative capsule “Dear1993.art” by streetwear icon and ECKŌ UNLTD co-founder Marc Eckō. The collection, paying tribute to the “World Famous Rhino Brand” and the year it was born, seamlessly blended the essence of the past with a bold glimpse into the future. Limited-edition pieces from this exclusive collection became available on ECKO.com the same night, allowing fans to take home a piece of history.
The beats curated by renowned DJ MUGGS from Soul Assassins/Cypress Hill and Blondie Beach set the perfect ambiance for the celebration. The soundscape was a masterful blend of old and new, reflecting the essence of ECKŌ UNLTD’s evolution.
As guests explored the venue, they had access to an archive pop-up museum featuring rare collections from the “ECKŌ HEADS” era (Circa 1993-2003). It was a walk down memory lane, showcasing the brand’s evolution and impact on streetwear culture.
