Lamborghini unveils the new Revuelto Lamborghini in a night of Lambo-themed cocktails at Blu on the Hudson.
My first impression of this event was, “Woah, there are a lot of people driving up in supercars.” Even as I parked my measly 6-cylinder, I saw flocks of Murcielagos, Aventadors, and Uruses pull up next to me, and I definitely felt a little out of my element.
The assortment of cars all better than mine parked outside
Any and all Lamborghini enthusiasts in the area were at this event, draped between panoramic views of Midtown Manhattan right on the Hudson River. Lamborghini of Paramus hosted this event within the iconic Blu on the Hudson restaurant, which specializes in glorious seafood and homemade pasta next to the glimmering river that gives it its namesake. The reason for my visit was plastered across the entire restaurant: Lamborghini would be unveiling something special for its 60th anniversary.
The front of the restaurant showed off several models of Lamborghinis that all had a role in the history of the iconic manufacturer.
Blu on the Hudson
I spotted a Lamborghini Islero Bronze, from 1968, a Lamborghini Diablo-Blue, from 2001, and a more recent Lamborghini Murcielago, from ~2010. Each has a storied past that quickly became the highlight of the era it was birthed in, and each was a testament to Lamborghini’s commitment to delivering the best of the best. I was starstruck.
When I entered, the fact that something big was coming was immediately apparent: the central area of the restaurant was covered in giant posters marking Lamborghini’s anniversary, and a vehicle hidden by a tarp was parked right in the thick of it.

I could see many individuals standing around it, attempting to visualize what exactly the hypercar underneath would look like. As I waited for the announcement to begin, I helped myself to the sushi bar that had been set up with a seemingly endless variety of options to choose from. To pair were several custom Lambo-themed cocktails, each named after an iconic model. I picked up a Murcielago and sipped the cool refreshing vodka-based drink. I walked around to DJ ENVY’s zesty beats, taking in the modern decor that Blu on the Hudson had set up. Super stylized and reminiscent of a waterfront restaurant in Italy, it was simply exquisite.

There was a Roger Dubois watch stand also set up further back, and patrons of the restaurant were eagerly clamoring over the high-end pieces.
Finally, the time came to unveil Lamborghini’s next big thing. First, we were shown an amazing work of art representing the new Lamborghini against a New York backdrop. Commissioned by a local artist, it featured moving 3-D light pieces that created the Lamborghini logo on the wheels as they spun. This led directly to the main feature, a short film/trailer for the new car.

The crowd quieted as the film began playing, and its production quality was immediately apparent. It featured the new Lamborghini racing through an empty city, with large bolts of blue electricity following it. A child woke up from bed to look outside, and he noticed the car facing a bull. They began racing, and the car sped ahead, with blasts of electricity jumping out from it. As the film concluded, the tarp covering the vehicle was removed, and the all-new Lamborghini Revuelto was unveiled.
The aesthetics of the car were simply astounding. Sharp angles, a mean-looking front that could pierce, and accentuated lines and LEDs throughout the body of the car gave it a futuristic near-spaceship look. Even better than the exterior was what was beneath, a staggering hybrid V12 engine that could deliver a total of 1,015 HP with its engine and three electric motors working in unison. This meant a 0-60 MPH time of 2.5, which is simply unbelievable. I got a chance to sit inside for several seconds, and it was clear that every inch of it was meant to resemble a cockpit.
The Lamborghini Revuelto
This was confirmed when an attendant revealed they had followed a “feel like a pilot” initiative for the interior design. It was colorful, futuristic, and sexy, but was also functional when it needed to be.
I was amazed by the fact that Lamborghini continues to stay relevant as the premier super/hypercar manufacturer. They have found a way to remain at the top in terms of relevancy, and the creation of the Revuelto shows that they are also not afraid to pivot when the industry changes. They are known for their huge engines, but will not back down from transitioning to an electric foundation when that is what the people want, and where the power gains are. The Revuelto marks a new chapter in Lamborghini’s story, and I am excited to be able to witness it all.
Many thanks to Lamborghini and Blu on the Hudson for this delectable night.
