The latest entry in the canned cocktail market and one that everyone will enjoy!
Over the past year and a half, the canned cocktail industry has boomed. Not only are canned cocktails easy to carry but they are also extremely delicious. And last week, a new canned cocktail brand made their debut at the iconic Tokyo Record Bar. WESAKE is a premium and delicious sake that comes in a can and is designed to be enjoyed anywhere at anytime. WESAKE is a Junmai Ginjo-style brew that contains the quality and craft of a traditional Japanese sake. We had a chance to try out the sake ourselves and we were surprised at how tasty this drink was. Best served cold, this canned sake drink was refreshing, light, and had amazing flavor to it. Sake isn’t a drink that is readily accessible everywhere, so to package such a delicious sake into a can is truly a game changer when it comes to casually enjoying a cocktail. At this launch event, guests were able to hang out within the intimate setting of Tokyo Record Bar. During this, guests were able to enjoy some of the delicious bites that the chefs at Tokyo Record Bar created. Some of these delicious bites included a caviar sandwich that was creamy and addictive, beautifully seasoned oysters that practically melted in your mouth, and our favorite which was a premium seared A5 wagyu that sat atop a crispy tater tot.
What made last week’s launch so special is that Pablo Rivera, the beverage executive, came up with the idea for this canned sake brand at Tokyo Record Bar. “Fun and lively nights out with sake are not so easy to come by in the American market, and I kept wondering why something so delicious and drinkable wasn’t more widely available,” said Rivera. “We believe this fresh, exciting and versatile drink deserves to be part of any social occasion. WESAKE was born out of a love for a truly impressive beverage that I hope inspires more to explore the category and the unique space that sake fills.”
