The GlenDronach x Point Reyes Cheese Kit
Just in time for the holidays, The GlenDronach Distillery, the historic Highland producer of Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co., the California-based award-winning artisanal creamery, have formed a partnership to bring consumers a unique Scotch and cheese pairing experience for the holidays. The pairing features the renowned producer’s flagship expression, The GlenDronach Original Aged 12 Years, which epitomizes the distillery’s unyielding dedication to mastering sherry cask maturation. Aged in fine Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía in Spain, this richly sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky presents smooth vanilla, soft fruits, and a memorably long, nutty finish, for which it has become renowned. From Point Reyes, the White Cheddar was chosen as the perfect pairing for The GlenDronach 12. Aged for one year, it is complex, creamy-yet-sharp, and has a delicious sweetness that flawlessly complements the rich, sherry sweetness of the whisky. The combined depth of flavor creates a balanced upfront taste experience with a burst of spice on the finish. Sold on ReserveBar, the remarkable selection is now available for purchase through December 2021.
