DC has officially released their footage shown at San Diego Comic Con for audiences everywhere and it’s a must see
When I posted about DC’s panel at San Diego Comic Con, I mentioned that they showed some footage from Suicide Squad. While there have been a lot of lower quality posts on the internet that have leaked from the event, it was only a matter of time until DC released the footage themselves. I told you that once official footage was released, you can find it here at The Knockturnal. And I’m not someone who lies. So, true to my word, here it is — the first official footage from DC’s Suicide Squad.
There’s a lot to talk about, but let’s focus on the main thing — The Joker. Leto’s portrayal of the character is unlike anything we’ve seen on screen before and that could either be really good or really bad for the character. Obviously, Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger have made the character special in their own right, but Leto is looking to bring something completely different this time around. And while I’m still not sure how I feel about the face tattoo’s, if Leto can up the ante with his portrayal than I think I would be able to move past them.
Suicide Squad will be released August 5, 2016 and is written and directed by David Ayer and stars a large ensemble cast consisting of Will Smith as Deadshot, Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinneman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc.
