Ryan McParland is making his first American debut in the sci-fi action series ‘HALO.’
The series will follow the same plots as the Microsoft video game, premiering on Paramount+ on March 24th. The series will allow gamers and non-gamers to get a deeper look into the personal stories of iconic characters and learn about members joining the cast. McParland will join the show as an original character, playing as Dr. Halsey’s assistant. As the series continues, viewers will be able to learn and discover more about his character.
McParland has had great success in Ireland, cultivating an impressive resume filled with international credits. He has appeared in numerous films and tv shows such as Calm with Horses, Kissing Candice, The tales of tales, Six Degrees, etc. He was praised by UK’s The Guardian for his role in the play Teddy Ferrara directed by Dominic Cooke, written by Pulitzer Prize-nominated writer Chris Shinn. In 2018 McParland received rave reviews for his performance in the one-man play East Belfast Boy. He shared an emotional performance as the character ‘Davy,’ who shares his experience with drugs, street life, and other topics.
